Summer?

This has been the strangest summer!!  Rain, Rain, Rain yet the days are ticking off and it is nearly the 4th of July.  I am drinking my coffee on the deck of the cabin, watching the loons on the lake.  It doesn't get much better than this.  Still, I am thinking about my upcoming scrapbooking retreat and am so PSYCHED!!  We are going to have a blast.  I have my pictures ready and now I just have to wait.   How many pages will I get done this year?  Or will I just catch up with friends?   Time will tell!

Minnesota REading Corps

Always looking for more participants/volunteers to help with MNRC.  We are having our final meeting of the year to discuss how well the program worked in our pre-schools.  Had great results this year!   We will also be planning for next year.  AMAZING EARLY LITERACY SKILLS coming to your child at the KMS pre-school programs.  I am SOO excited about next year.  Come join us as a classroom helper, MNRC volunteer or a parent just hanging out.  Enroll your child now for preschool, our classes are filling up fast!!  I have been amazed to see the literacy skills my daughter, Bree, has learned this year!!

Great weekend to fish!!

This was a great weekend to get out on the lake... even if there was wind!!  We had the chance to share it with Anton.. the Swedish Exchange student before he leaves for home.  He is an amazing kid!!  What fun!!  I know that we will all miss him.  Pictures to come of his first fish!! 

Dance Dance Dance!!!

Recital day!! 

Bree has her first dance recital today.  I'm no sure that she is ready, she still is not at 100% after her surgery.  No matter all those little three year olds are so cute!!  Dance this year has been full of drama and stress.  I know Heather and I will both be glad when the recital is over.  Here is a sneak peak of the costumes.  Can't WAIT to scrap these!

MAY DAY ... And National Scrapbook Day!

Where has the time gone!   Tyler is home and recouping from back surgery.  Bree had her tonsils and adenoids out yesterday and is feeling tired, but doing well.  On this rainy day I have decided it is time to hit the scrap room.  I love to visit Robyn The Pink Stamper at her website   http://www.mypinkstamper.com/.  Today she is celebrating National Scrapbook Day with hourly challenges.  I am trying to keep up, but I am just not THAT fast.  Here are the cute little purses with cards that I made for CHALLENGE #5- Teacher Appreciation.  Robyn did this project a while back using the purse from Forever Young.  Following her lead, see what I have done!!  These turned out super cute.  I used Close to My heart VERANDA papers and CTMH stamps.  LOVE THEM!   I am going to give these to my pre-school teachers.  What do you think??

What's10 Degrees.....EVERYTHING

10 degrees doesn't seem like a lot, but today 10 degrees is everything. Today we will attempt to get Ty sitting up. 10 degrees at a time. The issue is that he had a spinal fluid leak. If the repair has not held, it will continue to leak when he sits up causing headaches that will make you wish you were dead. 10 degrees at a time and hopefully walking by lunch. So far so good.... we can't wait to make it to the next 10 degrees.

Jumping on the Blog Boat without a life jacket

Soooo.... here I am. Jumping on board the blog boat. As I sit here with my son in his hospital room, it got me thinking again how CRAZY my life can be. The best laid plans are easily blown away when your family needs you. No matter what I may THINK is important, I KNOW that my family is all that really matters. This may be the rantings of a mom who has not slept in days .... but that is OK. It's from the heart.
